'Tyrannosaur', 'Guard' tops at Dinard
London-- Paddy Considine's pointing debut "Tyrannosaur" and John Michael McDonagh's "The Guard" won two awards each in the 22nd Dinard British Film Festival, France's leading showcase for United kingdom cinema. "Tyrannosaur" acquired the Golden Hitchcock award for the best film and also the Allianz award for the best script. "The Guard" required the Kodak Award for the best cinematography and also the Prix Public, chosen through the audience. The Golden Hitchcock provides tax assistance towards the French distributor and also the filmmaker, together with a marketing campaign around the Cine+ channels during the time of the film's theatrical release. The 2010 Dinard fest opened up March 6 with David McKenzie's "Sense,Inch and closed March 8 with Sue Bourne's "Jig." The jury was chaired by French actress Nathalie Baye. Kristof Bilsen won the very best video clip award for his doc "Whitened Elephant."
